IF - Mask

Collage - including wiggly eyes. "Masked Belle"

Jim and I've been making Christmas cards using the sheets I prepared on Friday - the picture above is a variation I did of one of the designs. Using cards with windows precut we're getting around 20 backgrounds out of each of the sheets. So we've got more background than we'll need for Christmas - we're hoping to make some other greetings cards too.

Here's one of the cards and some inside greetings snapped whilst drying:

Its making cards that gets me into the Christmas spirit - what does it for you?

These are great. I spent today driving to the ends of the earth and back trying to find the right kind of eyedrops for my invalid Dad. I wish I'd been with you and Jim making cards instead. At least we got our Christmas lights out -- always the first thing we do for the holiday.

I love this googly-eyed scuba diver!

As for your question, Christmas music, movies, smelling the evergreens and gingerbread baking!
And cards, too - I better get crackin'...

Michael - thank you!

Andrea - thanks! - I wish you had been here too - I hope you got the eye drops. We've yet to get any lights out. The boiler is being done today and has taken precedence over everything else... you'd never believe all the stuff Jim was doing yesterday in preparation...

Tinker - very underwater isn't it? But that's when a mask is really useful!
Ah gingerbread making - making these little people are the nearest I've got so far... maybe edible ones will be next!

Special looking diving belle, and I can see a jigsaw jellyfish!

In days of yore the advent calendar, and the putting up of tree & decos a few days before the Day got me in the spirit. In modern times, I go shopping in August...NO!.. meeting up with friends in December, and the getting to wherever I'll be spending Christmas do the trick if anything does.

Alina - thanks

Isay - Jim loves to play with wiggly eyes! Glad you like one of my more subtle cards too!

Johnnynorms - I wondered whether anyone would see the jigsaw piece... well spotted!

Maybe one of the things I've been having to come to terms with is the spending Christmas here, where I spend all the rest of my time too... Christmas used to be the one day a year, when a child, that we'd all go to Gran's... (my father worked the other 364...)... maybe I'll need to do something to make the house particularly different!

Everything looks fantastic!!!
Your mask illo reminds me of an underwater diver.

As for Christmas Spirit... It's the Baking of cookies and Pies :)

Emila - thank you!

Joy Eliz - yes I saw the underwaterness after I'd done it... but it is when a mask is really handy!

Baking?... maybe I'd better get cooking!

Cool character! I love the use of sparkles for his air bubbles :)

Since moving to California 14 years ago from New England, it's been hard "feeling" Christmas in the same way. Usually I snap out of it and get into the spirit by wrapping gifts. I love giving :)

Studio Lolo - thanks - I love giving presents too!

Didn't mean to sound like such a Scrooge. I DO look forward to going to my parents with my family. My sisters, brother and their families will be there. It will be loud, there will be too much food and coffee, and our favorite thing...games of Scrabble.

Writing and craft, they make me happy.

You're so clever, there's so much to see, think about here, I get revved up, ready to craft, when I come here.
