I went through my magazines looking for things that began with an E. From these I made a paper collage which I scanned in and then played with in Painter IX.

Thank you to everyone who gave me so much insight into the picture I put up last week - I am very grateful and feel that even if no single answer has emerged for me something has shifted through the whole process.

Every collage you do is more Enigmatic and Exciting than the last. Excellent Entertainment. (But I don't want to Elevate your Ego any more, Ergo it's time to Exit.)

p.s. I really do love the subtle use of colour and texture in this one. So much to see!

Dear unknown you obviously need a subscription to New Scientist (the Egyptian images - it was an article about how about the ancient Egyptian's teeth were!) and the Guardian Saturday colour magazine... love

Cosmos - thank you

Andrea - Evidently you are Escaping from Endlessly Expressing your Emergent Exhibits... - and thanks - I thought it would be a quick collage but I got drawn into it for hours!

Wandering Coyote - you can have the magazine's after The Unknown (he does Bad Art not collage) - and thank yoU!

Melba - thank you - I was working with Eggshell blue and Ecru as part of the E theme!

Kim Carney - thanks!

Had to take another look. You should have a giclee made from your digital image and sell me one!

I just had a great idea: you should make a whole alphabet. What a fantastic series it would be!!! Then you could publish a book and take on the world...

Caroline said...

Anonymous - I hope you Enjoyed that.

Nan - exuberantly expressed!

Toni - Thanks - I felt it need the colours and texture to pull it together.

catnapping - so it is!

Detlef - thank you

Cream - that always worries me - the higher one stands the harder one falls - guess I'd better put on a jet pack!

Kat - thank you - I've been inspired in the past by yours!

Andrea - I might have a go at printing it out myself and you can have a copy if it works! And a whole alphabet would be an interesting project - but would I manage 25 more? Maybe...

So ancient and unique in its way. Like the solid colours and the way you have chosen your E´s ...

You have really captured the eternal and enigmatic essence of enduring Egypt...sorry, I just got going and couldn't stop. This is way cool! I love the colors and the stonelike, sandy textures you achieved here. The composition is also excellent. Good work, Caroline:>

Truly, truly amazing. Your work gets my mind ticking, Caro. Everytime.

This is beautiful and complex with lots to look at. I really admire artists who can effectively work with a few colors. I haven't mastered that yet as I tend to go nuts and overboard with my color palette.
great job!

Anonymous... you are what you Eat!

GG - Thanks!

Jamie - I love your colours too but sometimes I like to restrict mine. Other times I play with the whole rainbow.
