Andrea has suggested posting favourite pictures of ourselves from 20 or so years ago. This is one I took in 1987 soon after getting the camera in the picture - it was a Ricoh XRX, my first SLR. One of the reasons this is a favourite is that it shows me looking serious - something that most people seem to try and avoid when taking pictures of me. I also like the odd colour contrast in the picture as it makes me look more exotic than I am!

it's a great photo! i'm wondering where i was in 87, not sure i have any photos from around then.
Thanks Ian! I hope you can find a photo - Andrea said soemthing like 20 +/- 5 years...
Actually, I was thinking that you look less exotic than you are! I loved the hairstyle and you like quite sultry.
Andrea - Sultry? Yes that was a word often used to describe me in my younger days... I love that you think I'm more exotic than this - wow!
How lovely to see you! It seems you've been hiding your sultry and exotic side *_* Really a good photo (I'm glad you were able to take a serious photo; no one let's me do those either - but then I don't think I've ever looked sultry or exotic, much as I've always wanted to ...sigh).
