Christmas Jumble
This is how Christmas really begins in our house.
Despite my earlier attempts (the Phoenix and an unpublished Christmas version of my "Blue Moose"); I was getting no where with producing a card that both of us liked.
Then a few nights ago Jim said he wanted to do some stamping - so we started.
I had hoped we'd finish more of the cards sooner, but we both got distracted into banging our heads against a brick wall instead (see my previous posting)...
Last night, I wasn't feeling well enough to go out, but I also promised myself no more of that headache inducing brick wall. So I got on with the cards and like magic the headache lifted and most of this year's cards are made!

Caroline, these are stunning! It looks like you have a variety of designs, and all the color combinations are gorgeous. We've almost finished printing our cards with the bird I did for cold , but we can't agree on a message for the inside. We better get it done fast or they'll have to be New Year's cards. I read your post about the landlord problems...agh! I went through something like that many years ago and it was dreadful. We ended up taking the landlords to court to get our security deposit back, but only got a portion of it. I wish you lots of luck. It's clear that you're in the right here. Anyway...just stopped by to see what's up and say hello. I'm looking forward to your IF this week. - Carla
Thanks Carla.
The best part of this was the fact we did a lot of it together.
That bird of yours will make stunning cards - good choice!
Oh no, not another failure on the landlord front! Sorry to hear that you've had this misery too.
these are fantastic!! and i agree that they are especially wonderful because you did them together. :-)
Thanks Kat - and as we have now posted all the ones that needed posting we are feeling very pleased!
You are way ahead of me on the holiday card front... and you've managed to put so much creative energy into your cards. I especially like the tree ones in front... are they metallic? Hubbie and I made a 1-page Christmas collage of family pictures this year, but they are not printed yet, so nowhere near the post.
Wow! Lucky them who get your cards :-)
Nan - we are way ahead of our normal timetable... although we didn't use my earlier attempts I think they helped. I bet your collage is great!
We have some gold ink that we used - hard to get off the stamps afterwards but Jim likes to use colours that he couldn't get out of his computer printer!
GG - thanks. Jim's mother rang today as she'd got her card (posted in the first wave) and she seemed pleased
I like your cards. The color combos are great. This was the first year I made holiday cards (postcards that is)and it felt so much better then just giving something bought. And that's alot of cards. How many did you make?

Hi Janey - I like the colours too - especially like this with them all together. I'm not sure how many we made. We posted nearly 50 and have hand-delivered probably another 10. Something like that...
