Light on a sphere of my life...
I was so stimulated by Melba's comment on my MMM posting yesterday that I've written a long post about belief in my word blog. I don't post there often but its where my postings with lots of words and few pictures go. I very much doubt that this has anything to do with what Melba meant when she posed such an innocent question but its been very useful to me - thank you Melba!

Caro....so glad you came by to see Caroline the Fairy Girl!
Question...do you have a flickr account. If so I would love to add you as one of my contacts!
You can link to my Flickr photos via my Whippy Curly Tails blog. You will see the photos to the right..just click on the photos.
Love this photo...a sphere caught in woody time!
A beer ball?!
I see the image of a bird just above the ball. Accidental...or not??
Lyn - thanks - and I see you have found my flickr account now.
Melba - oh dear I've tried writing an answer to this comment several times now... maybe in the morning it will come out as another posting... you are highlighting two different sorts of belief - one is the belief in one's own instincts, intution, experience etc that leads you to your self-belief and positive action and that's great - the other is the kind I was arguing against!
Andrea - it was a ball I found stuck up a tree - looks like it might have been a beer ball doesn't it?
Wandering Coyote - you saw a bird in the markings of the trunk? Wow I missed that!
Can you see it now? I saw it almost as soon as I saw the ball - maybe even before!
That looks like the Foster's Lager logo.
Wandering Coyote - I can see all sorts as I look but not a bird... maybe you could explain this one more to me please! What I have seen, since you mentioned it, is a dinosaur wearing a top hat!
Andrea - could be... I just liked the colours!!
I see something more like a stellar's jay, with the dark crest on the head. The bird is in profile facing the right and his beak is a lighter part of the trunk just below where the cap slopes down over the head. I also see an eye and tufts of feathers.
I had to search for an image of a stellar's jay and now I know what to look for I can see him here! Thanks! And what a beautiful bird Stellar's Jay is - thank you for bringing him into my life.
Love the jays (blue and stellar's), too. Stunning birds and very common around here. We got them lots in Ottawa, too.
