Very mystical! I like the layers and the wonderful, blurred reflection in the background. It looks like sea glass. Now, is this symbol something you've conjured? It has the feeling of protection (the top line like a hat) openness ( the lines extending outward), and vibrance/vitality (the sunlike circle with the rays. "Tis cool!
Nice! And thanks for the comment on mine. :-)
Wonderful! I love tea and I love your depiction of its energy. What a great choice...
thank you!
That's a fun interpretation. Now what about decaf?
...now what about decaf...that was funny! Your illo really has a lot of energy to it.
Nice job as usual!
a.
How about it … Great idea! Lily.
fun clever illo!
i can feel the energy from the changing of the light colors to a vibrant solid red!
Looks refreshing with a touch of zing! Very nice :)
How ingenious. I love it Love.

Good one. It is so vibrant. Love how you did this...spunky like the jolt of a nice strong cuppa of tea!
Smooch,
The Tart
Very refreshing! Love the color choice and the simple, but lively, lines. The shadows drew my attention right away.
Now, with patterns like that, I can see the sense of reading tea leaves! :-)
very original and a bit esoterical!
perhaps true energy comes from red vs green...
:)
This does have a wonderful energy to it! Love it!
how appropriate your colors are for green tea and the energy from the plant and sun. ;)
Very energetic, it kind of gives wibes. I love the turquoise.
Awesome!! I see it dancing gracefully!
As usual a beautiful image to brighten the day.
Do hope you don't mind but you have been tagged.
I've been thinking about this one for a few days now. I really like it visually - the colours are wonderful.
Always thought tea drinkers were precious petals...lol. Innovative interpretation.
Thank you all for your comments!
On Flickr I was asked how I did it here is the step-by-step method:
1. I made some tea essence
2. I drank some
3. I intuited what the tea essence's symbol could be and drew it with felt tip pens.
4. I scanned it in and played with it in Painter IX.
5. I combined it also with a photograph of a plant's shadow that had intruigued me recently.
The plant shadow looks like a pagoda! The reflective quality is so unique,Totally cool and mystical!!!
Totally wild and fun for this theme! I am sure I havent seen anything like it! Great Job! Brandi
Nice job. Lot's of energy (not something I usually associate with tea).
Really beautiful - the colors are amazing!
Valgalart - its amazing what depths one might find in a cup of tea isn't it!
Brandi - thank you - I wasn't trying to be original but its always nice to know that I am! ;-)
Tony - are you someone who falls asleep better for a cuppa? I used to be like that....
Rose - thank you - I was playing with echoes and contrasts.
