Wow It's broken and mesed up! Good Ill.
This is really cool... love the colors, the splattered effect, the lines. Well done!
I like all of the 8 drawings on flickr. Your work is very interesting, almost tribal/aboriginal yet contemporary/modern at the same time.
Love the free and abstract style!! Unique used of color too!! Nice work!
I like this a lot! It appears the mask has been broken leaving the threads of what is behind it! Excellent!
Even the mask's eye color is different! Kewl !
:-)
Very well crafted! I really enjoy the lines and colours! Great job!
Really great illustration. I love it.
love
Me recuerda a mi epoca de restauradorea de pintura cuando te encontrabas un lienzo con dos pinturas superpuestas, este dibujo tuyo ademas dá miedo!!!
"Le Fantôme de l'Opéra" that's what it reminds me of, Caro!
By God, your rest has done you a lot of good and the inspiration is flying!
She reminds me of the character in my manuscript, my first manuscript.
This can ohhh so be the character in my book which is based in the savannahs, a great green and brown land in the interior of Guyana.
Your art makes me feel the hierarchy of life. the tolarance between the colors... So wonderful. :)
Thank you all for visiting and your comments.
Joe - I'm wondering if she as messed up as I'd thought, maybe she needed the mask to be peeled off, then she can start to sort out all those loose threads? But what you say is how I felt about it at first too.
Carolyn - thanks for the appreciation. I like splatter!
Mick - my influences are obviously showing through - glad you like it!
Paula - you are right the self behind does seem to be revealing itself...
Alina - I hope Minty appreciates the colours!!!
Anonymous - I'll see if I can sort out the threads without getting too tangled or embroidering too much
Steve - you are right she isn't just looking different but with different eyes...
Ellen - thanks for the praise - the crafting happened rather by accident but I'll take the credit!
the unknown - glad you like it, love
rsc - what can I say?
cream - time out for me is vital - I just don't always remember... inspiration flying sounds like an interesting theme...
GG - glad I provided an illustration for one your old characters - I like the idea of the land being Guyana!
Shamaniak - you see deeply thank you.
This is deliciously creepy -- and broken! I love the acid colours and the distorted face. Very cool.
I really love the surreal quality to this. It almost has mask look to the face. Really cool effect.
Yes love how the mask is breaking away to reveal the face.
Interesting colors and texture.
really want to know what's hiding behind that smile. love this illo!
The pitted texture workes so well, to give an unsettling feeling, as does the greens. An illo that really brings me into the picture, I just keep moving my eyes around it. Very very cool.
Andrea - glad it gives you the creeps - peeling off a face must feel creepy mustn't it?
Holly - oh oh you mean there are more masks to go?
Toni Kelly - thanks! I wonder how painful it is to break off one's public mask like this.
kg - its true that part doesn't show does it - I wonder if there is a smile behind it...
jacquelynn - thank you! Unsettled sums it up!
