Chocolate & Chilli Oil Tart from Paul Gayler's Vegetarian Cookbook. This has a walnut pastry and a filling with 1 t of chilli oil to spark up the chocolate.
I'm in the middle of making this rich tart (no relation to cheap tart).
So far I've substituted pecans for walnuts but otherwise stuck to the given ingredients.
This is something that I've been planning to make for almost 2 months but then I started blogging...

Blogging is delicious. But that rich tart [as opposed to a cheap tart] sounds better. Go bake :-)
Are you a vegetarian?
I was a vegetarian for 10 years but my body demanded other things...
... which is sad for Jim as he is a vegetarian, but I'd stopped being one by the time we got together ten and a half years ago. The book mentioned was a birthday present to him last May.
Not that you have to be a vegetarian to fancy chocolate tart!
Oh wow that sounds delicious - and I was so hoping the link would take me to the recipe. But no probably a good thing I can't see the recipe, I am far too fat as it is.
The Pecan pastry tastes great - but I couldn't get the flan nicely out of the dish so no pretty picture of it for my blog... the filling is rich but surprisingly unsweet, I wonder if I got the amount of sugar right... if I make it again and adjust the recipe enough to call it my own I'll post it here.
I don't eat meat for health reasons. Though when I smell chicken being bar b qued...mmmmm I want I want.
