Giraffe and some strange birds
These are all Painter IX pictures - the giraffe was drawn following instructional diagrams from a book for children!
And this is a monk shape-shifting into a wise old raven.
And this is a strange wader that just appeared...

Strange wader? That's the silver curlew, it's the silver curlew! Aww well, for a moment I thought it was a storybook character come back. sigh.
A monk shifting into a raven? Is that from a book? Or a thought in your head?
Beautiful giraffe!
nice! i like the colours and style...
I like the shape-shifter best but they all made me look twice.
GG am I drawing your characters? What fun! The monk isn't in a book yet that I know of... I just wanted to depict shapeshifting - I like the idea of being able to transform, if not into feathers, at least into different ways of being!
Hi cecilia's art - thanks!
Thanks for looking twice Andrea!
i like the giraffe. nice job with the wise old raven and in the backgrounds of the three images.
The silver curlew was a book I found in our school library long ago. It was one of those verrry strange books written for children.
I've heard the term 'shape shifting', but I'm not too sure what it's all about.
I think all these "characters" belong in a book. What an enchanting book it could be! The Curlew is my favorite. He has tons of personality.
These are very cool! I like the blue bird...he has Woodstock hair:> BTW, I sold my adesso tablet on ebay and I'm going to buy a wacom tablet to replace it...I tried playing with Painter a bit with a tiny borrowed wacom tablet, but I think I'll do better on a larger one. You're inspring me with the wonderful work you've been doing:>
