Magnolia
I liked the effect I used yesterday for the Fritilary so today I did something similar with this Magnolia.
I'm using a mixture of cloning brushes and an erasing rake in Painter IX.
The photo was taken yesterday in the last sunlight of the day.

I like this one too. Were you singing while you worked on it? :)
Janet - I'm on my own so I can sing without anyone hearing!
Both of these are beautiful ... I'm fascinated that they were created electronically! I hear Dory in my head, from Finding Nemo (my own words, of course) Just keep singing, singing singing. Gotta keep singing. Enjoy!
Hobess - thank you! I love playing with Painter because it really does open what I can do electronically.
Tra-la-la-la!
OMG, Caroline! You should see the magnolia blossoming right outside my window! It's not quite at its peak yet, but it's so stunning. I'm going to take a picture of it very soon because I just love it. This one is blooming later than others I've seen around town because it's not in full sunlight. The ones I've seen in other neighbourhoods are just breathtaking.
I can't find my eraser rake! But I guess that's because I only have Painter Essentials..... Well, if my business picks up....
Nice combination of photo and "drawing".
Stylish :)
Awwwww, beautiful. It's lifted my spirits.
Caroline! This is GREAT! I have sooo much problems with Painter IX... Guess it's because it's a trial program...For me. Maybe I should buy it... Heh heh...:)
I KNOW that I posted something here yesterday but it's gone! :(
This is really lovely...and so full of movement. I feel like the magnolia is moving in the breeze. Awesome!
a.
Beautiful!! Love the pinks.
Smooch,

Wandering Coyote - my big magnolia is flowering too now - they do have amazing flowers don't they? I'll be over to see your photo soon.
Sultry Painterwoman - I made the eraser rake by altering an ordinary one to one that erased by using the brush menus - I don't know if Essentails has those... but you can get the full one to play with for a month free of charge.
Kyknoord - thanks!
GG - and thank you too.
MerlinPrincesse - I found the trial program fine - it was the full version that you can download for a month and it was what convinced me to get the full one. Getting a decent tablet was the most useful extra.
Melba - thank you!
Reluctant Nomad - comments vanshing? Must have been in sympathy with my temporary disappearance - I hope you said something nice!
Andrea - thank you - I love that that is how you saw it.
Jocelyn - thank you - are you no longer Jody?
