Power Dip

Painting From the Source

This arrived today - from the US - Leah recommended it last Monday and I'd only ordered it on Tuesday from a reseller on Amazon.com. Amazon had told me to allow until February 9th 2009!

As I was reading the first chapter we had a most unexpected power dip. I was just in the section where where she is describing her own journey to the type of painting she calls "Painting from the Source":
And I even had to say good-bye (power dip) to the fear of being connected and whole.
Which I must admit seemed significant to me at the time. There was a second power dip a little later when I wasn't reading - I was cutting up red peppers... I can't see any significance to that one ;-)

This copy is even signed, though its really hard to read, I think its signed by the author.

My best guess is:
For April,
Keep Painting, Goat Judy
Love Aviva Gold
Can you make it make more sense?

As I tried to post this I got a message saying

Weird! I wasn't doing more than one thing at once...

Any suggestions for what that means also welcome!

The only time I expect power dips is when there is a thunderstorm... and there wasn't anything like that... and they really were only minute dips - my computer didn't crash, though Jim's did.

I might have a clue for the Blogger problem. A couple of times recently I've visited blogs and been able to see their editing tools. I just refreshed the page and they disappeared but I wonder if some people might be tempted to....

I posted something on the forum but no replies yet

I forgot to mention; I bought a book from Oxfam once, signed by the author, no one really famous though.

Anji - that sounds really worrying - that someone might be able to edit someone else's blog! I hope it wouldn't actually accept the edit...

It does seem that simply signing a book doesn't necessarily make it more valuable, or more loved.

Thinking about it I went to a talk several years ago by Susan Blackmore I think - I got her book about Memes and had it signed but after I'd read it I gave it to a charity shop!

I think the autograph might actually say 'Goat Lady.'
How very odd about the power 'dip,' since we had several power outages during our rainstorm - and I was chopping red peppers last night - there's even a pic on my blog from last night - though I promise I wasn't trying to post on yours!

I agree with Tinker that it says, "Goat Lady." I bet that was something the purchaser painted in a workshop with Aviva.

Cool synchronicity with the power dip!!

Tinker - thanks for putting the peppers into the synch! And yes Lady makes more sense than Judy.

Leah - and that's a great explanation of why! Thank you.

I knew a goat lady once. It was when I lived in China... a long time ago! :)

MP & LP - thank you for that. I'm wondering just how goatish a lady can be!
