Crieff & Loch Earn (St Fillans)
1. Welcome to Crief Visitor Centre, 2. Pixie, 3. Black Buddha, 4. Laughing
Created with fd's Flickr Toys.
I still have some more photos from our Scotland trip so I thought I'd better get on with them - or I might never get round to the ones from Jim's birthday trip to Bath last Thursday! And if you are wondering if I've done any other kind of art recently the answer is no.
Above are some photos from the Crieff Visitor Centre - in general I found these tourist trap places disappointing but I liked this cow and was amused too by the garden centre.
1. Divine Pizza, 2. Superstitious?, 3. Saddlers, 4. Lolly Pop Man, 5. Marmite for Tea?, 6. Sweet Making, 7. Chocolate Hedgehogs, 8. Chocolate Dinosaurs, 9. Millions
We had lunch in Crieff one day and I had the best pizza ever - it really was gorgeous - from Delivino's.
Here are some more photos from St Fillans, the village we were staying in. These mostly feature Loch Earn.
1. Boats on Loch Earn, 2. Gorse, 3. Wood, 4. Tree, 5. Mossy Stone Wall, 6. Ashes, 7. Boulder, 8. Loch Earn, 9. View from bridge, 10. Tree holding a Mirror, 11. Sunset, 12. Church of Scotland, 13. Petal Fall

Lovely photos - that sunset is fabulous! I'm wondering why the tree was holding a mirror...and what toppings were on the divine pizza?
Tinker - thanks - the tree was holding a mirror, I suspect, to enable people to see what whether anything was coming on the road from their drive. I can't recall what the toppings were - it was the thin base that was so stunning!
Thanks for sharing Caroline--I wanna visit Scotland so bad. Someday perhaps. Anyhow, glad you had a ball!
It's taken me several attempts on this slow server to see all the photos. It's been worth every bit of patience. I feel refreshed, and now, I want to go out and create beautiful things too.
Steve - I recommend that cottage if you do ever get to Scotland!
GG - thank you for persisting - I know my pages must take an age to load! And I'm sure you will make some beautiful things too!
Looks like you had a great time! I love all the photos, especially the sunset. It looks like the sky is on fire. Well done, Caro.
It's a long time since I have been to Crieff but I am partial to a nice pizza...;o)
The sky does look like it's on fire. Everything is soooo beautiful.
The one and only week I was in Scotland it rained. Still fun but I'm surprised to see the Sun :)
Hi Caroline,
Oh, drat. I was just going to ask if you'd done any art recently.
These photos are stuniing. I like the way you have grouped culture and nature. Thank you so much for a personal, not touristy, view of Scotland.
PS: I didn't know about the U.N. factoid that you presented in your comment. That's upsetting.
That is one schnazzy cow! (And a fiery sunset!)
Caroline Potato - (I love this version of your name that you do so I know I'm not just talking to myself!) - I've been dreaming about doing some sculpture... though maybe something else will come along and press my buttons - to be honest I am still doing a lot of energy work and photography seems to fit with that best.
I'd only heard about the UN list of occupied places not including Tibet last week - though from a different source which is why I was checking on it...
Tony LaRocca - thanks - its a fun cow isn't it!
Maybe I'll have to do something more with that sunset - the problem with flickr is one becomes a bit immune to them!
THese photos are awesome!
Just letting you know I have been spying on you in bloglines and see you flying around Caroline :) Great posts in the last month - you have been very busy :)
Thanks Alina!
Anonymous - you are welcome to spy all you like - I like your wings too!
