hi caroline, thank you very much for your comment and the interesting link (wikipedia). I haven't heard about the book yet... I'll try to find it translated into Italian...
Oh I love the lines in this! I think you did an amazing job on this. The portrait that is so creativly drawn against the colors that won't be confined. Perfect. a.
I now know how well done your line is after trying it myself, and getting eyes and noses all over the place. I was going to ask you if you'd like to colour one, but harrrump, maybe not...
Blind contour drawing is one thing I have not tried yet. I think it is a wonderful job. I am amazed at the eyes. the photoshop effects does raise it to a new level.
I like it, Caroline! Even though the features are a bit off-kilter, there is something just right about the expression. I love what you've done with color and the brush strokes...the face emerges from the dark background with a lovely, luminous glow.
Ian - the way I do blind contour drawing is looking at the subject but not what I'm drawing. That's the blind bit. I have also done feelies - where one feels something with one hand and draws with the other - that one is done with the eyes closed.
Oh yeah--I love blind contour drawings and this is great. Love the digital effects here too--looks like real paint! Wonderful merging of the electronic and the organic.
Well, I like it!...the look is powerful, and the colors are neat! Great job! Seeing your pieces each week is giving me an itch to get my drawing goodies out! Now...if I only had the time!...

Excellent, really good. I'm sitting here trying to follow the line. You should do more of these.
Now there's an inspired idea. I love your nose! :) The Photoshop effects elevates the blind contour to a new level. You da mastah!
Love the continuous line! Great piece!
It's better than the continuous lines I've tried. I like the colours on the head and hair, and good contrast with the surrounding area.
beautiful caroline! i am also imagining it as an oil painting.
i am not back yet, at least not regularly.
i really appreciate your support and concern.
all the best-
I like the energy of her expression...
a very effective work indeed...
She looks like a proud warrior: she has got character.
I love the pastel surrounded by bold. Nice illo!!

I like the hair - especially the strand across the shoulder.
I like your contour drawing!
Much better than contour drawings I've tried - mine tend to end up look like ufo's (unidentifiable freakish objects) :-)
Very cool use of color here, too.
yeah, I like this! - what is the technique again? I don't understand the blind bit... surely not literally with your eyes shut! :o/
i have much to learn...

This type of art would have made a great Jimi Hendrix album cover...LOL!
Wonderful result, in my humble opinion – powerful.
It reminds me of a psychedelic avocado. I like avocados!

I've woke up some mornings when everything looked like that! I like the brilliant colors, as if she's an angel.

somehow it seems u have takin a very simple line drawing and captured their true essence with color
thanks for all the comments!
And JohnnyNorms I'd love to colour in a blind contour drawn by you! Even one that makes you go harumph!

Very creative, looks like it was lots of fun to make.
