Happy Valentine's Day
This is my SoulCollage® card for my father. The words are here in my card blog. It came up two days ago and today as my card of the day. What a lovely Valentine's greeting.
I've blogged about my father before: main posting and follow-up.
Jim has surprised me with chocolates and a card (luckily I surprised him with chocolates and a card too!). And we have a date for tonight.
Happy Valentine's Day to all of you!
Update: Jim surprised himself by forgetting to give me these roses until just now! And "Finding Water" (but he had told me it was here... so I wasn't worrying).

Ahh, how sweet, have a lovely day and a lovely date!
By the way really like that image of the parrots/birds...who's card is whose?
Jo - thanks!
Jim gave me the parrots - I had a dream about "Parrot Tom Williams" once and its become a standing joke.
He likes tortoises so I gave him the tortoise card.
Awe! Very Sweet!!!
Happy Valentines Day!
Thanks for linking to the previous posts on your father - I hadn't read them before...now I'm wondering what else I've missed! Also, I'm wondering if your name is pronounced as the word "car" is, if that makes any sense...
Wonderful gift exchange - hope you're having a lovely time. Happy Valentine's Day, Caroline! XOXO
Hi Caroline,
I love this post! The photos of your father are so evocative. We of this generation are conduits to another time entirely. I am still poking around your blog figuring out what these cards are and how many you have. They speak my visual language.
The roses are just beautiful. I like romance.
Terri - my name is pronounced Ka-ro-line it just has a car embedded in there... and its very much line, not lynn, at the end.
Its funny how we pick up with a blogger and don't necessarily read their back blog... I know I've not read most people's... some of it is ephemeral... how they feel today... what's happening now... but other stuff is core isn't it...
Potato Print - glad you liked my card - I'm putting all the ones I've published on my card blog... I have however loads more that I don't feel it appropriate to publish... copyright laws being what they are and collage being what it is!
Must be so nice to have someone who loves you! *sigh* :))) I'm glad for ya! (and a bit jealous...hhehehheheehehe!)
Roses galore, I see!
But my favourites are the chocolates! Mmmmm...
It's too late to wish you happy Valentine's day but I have 'honoured' you with a special post. I hope that you approve.
Merlin Princesse - yes it is nice to have someone who loves me - I've had times of not being loved and I've been loving being loved for the last, nearly 12 years...
Sorry to make you jealous - take it instead as inspiration?
Cream - good to see you back! Hope your hols were fun. The chocolates have almost gone and the roses are still looking good... so there is something to be said for inedible gifts.
RN - oh... you could wish me a happy unValentine's day that would be good! And thank you I am indeed honoured.
