MMM: What worked for me...

MMM: What worked for me

I woke up one morning a few weeks ago with this phrase in my mind. It turns out to be a well-known quote about the nature of enlightenment. For some reason ever since its made me smile!

The parts of this picture

The audience and mermaid featured in my MMM of May 29th, with was the day before this phrase woke me up.

The Crow was posted to illustrate mystery.

The blonde-haired woman is the image I drew for portriat (not a self-portrait) recently.

The key is one of the keys that has featured in several of my MMMs.

The large globe with a Crannog in it is one of the globes I made during my recent retreat.

The small globe contains a card in it with a picture of the world from space. In the tarot this is the card that is the culmination of the journey and as expressed on Aeclectic Tarot:

this card tells the Querent that the end to a long-term project is in sight

So here I am chopping water and carrying wood... oh dear so that's back to square one for me!

More MMM's

Sorry if I'm still not reading blogs or responding to comments much. But I thought I'd ease back in to at least posting!

We all need to feed our soul, spirit and body. Take all the time you need. Just glad you are still around

What a wise subconscious you have! What are the creatures appliqued on the mermaids' tunics?
I like the symbolism here.
It's good to see you back, even a little at a time.

Toni - every day is feeling better and better! And I'm still around just not managing as much time on line as I'd like!

Melba - what bats? I've used this key before and the animals that I see in it are: fish, lizard, bird and either a teddy bear or an owl... I like the idea of bats but I didn't deliberately put them there!

thanks for letting me know my email isn't getting out either - I've been having lots of trouble with my ISP... another reason not to have too active on the web recently...

Tinker - I'm not sure what they were and the image has gone a bit fuzzy... probably a little dog... and I see the poor mermaid seems to have a smut on her nose... must be all the shrinking and enlarging she's been subjected to!

Caro...I really love this! It has such a feeling of nature. I really love the Raven. And such introspective saying.

I did not see bats but perhaps a sign for Melba?

How I love that quote. Another of your amazing digital collages. I'd like to make a polymer transfer out of a few of those...

If you freeze the water first, you can chop and sculp it, before carrying it in a box of wood... nice to see you back, btw.

Hi Caroline, I thought I'd visit your blog after a comment you left at JoyEliz's blog attracted my attention. Wow, I like your blog. I enjoyed reading the list of 20 thing you don't like, well okay 15. I love reading your opinions even if some of them I don't share. It's very refreshing. And I love your art.

Enlightenment means you know WHY you're chopping the wood & carrying the water :)

Seems like you and I have been suffering from the same malaise - not posting, not reading, not commenting, not replying to comments.

I made a double entry yesterday, the first proper entry in weeks and weeks.

Now when are you going to do that?

I just thought I'd drop you a comment and let you know I've been thinking about you (and miss your presence on the Internet!).

Hope you're well - and that you haven't collapsed under all that water and chopped wood you've been carrying (since enlightenment doesn't seem to lighten the load, unfortunately! :)

Take care my friend

It's hard to get started again when you take a break, isn't it?....I know. I used to do Illo Fri every week ( wouldn't miss it!), then, I missed a week, and that turned in to two.....and now, I want to post, but can't seem to come up with anything.

You realise that when you start posting again the web will thunder to tumulteous applause.
