A red, red background
Inspired by Try It Tuesdays to finally get messy with my new acrylics.
I used a gecko stamp on it but that's hard to spot now. At least I know its there!
The instructions suggested using a heat gun to speed up the drying - unfortunately I'd used some old plastic bags to protect the table top... now all shrunk and winkled by the heat around the edges!

Who knew red could be so cool?
And I think I see a face... ;)
Saw it already on Flickr and commented but thought I'd just crusie through and thumbs up here, too! (And Viking054: That's not a face that's a dragon ... and the Eiffel Tower.)
I like it. And now that you say there's a gecko stamp in there, I'm going to spend the next 10 min just staring at it. Give me time, I'll find it:D
Well, of course I see a few faces ;) and I think I see the geckos foot.
Stormy. Looks like the sky outside my window (through a red filter, of course)
Two people, one light (left) and one (dark) - the angel and the devil on your shoulders, Caroline?
Viking - I wondered if anyone who notice a face ;-)
Andrea - the Eiffel Tower? Looks a bit rickety to me...
Janey - if you didn't spot the gecko its easier to see on the larger versions on flickr...
Janet - I'm going to be haunted by faces aren't I?
Kyknoord - glad to hear your sky isn't quite this red - we're having a storm today, maybe I could feel the change in pressure without knowing it was influencing me...
Reluctant Nomad - more than likely - these IF themes do seem to find their way in everywhere and of course that was just the image I'd thought about doing when I first saw the theme.
My stamps got hidden too... Oh no about the plastic bags! I keep my heat gun in the basement because I'm afraid of catching my office on fire:)
I did see that there are hot pads or hot mitts (I don't know if that's what you Brits call them) but they're silicone and can withstand temp of 600 degrees (F) sorry I don't know the conversion...
Oh why can't the US just standardize with everyone else when it comes to measurements, degrees and the like!
Joy Eliz - my stamps showed up too much at first - that's how I got into putting even more paint on and then I rather lost them under all the layers.
My whole studio/office is in the basement... we have got some of those silicon mitts somewhere but I was just trying to keep the paint off the table... I wonder if newspaper would have been worse - maybe not as normally I use my heat gun for drying things on paper.
lovely luscious colour - makes me want to crawl into it! I love reds so much. And thank so much for the link!!
Megg - thanks!
