Illustration Friday - Fat
Illustration Friday's theme today is fat and, as I'd already been inspired by Andrea to explore my inner pear, I went out and bought the fattest pear I could find. I had originally thought I'd do this in "real media" but digital got me and I drew it from scratch in Painter IX and then played with various colours and brushes for a while. Finally I used a canvas and lighting effect. At that point in the image I was working on a face seemed to appear so I stopped. Not sure if its so visible here...

Anyway, Lovely!
Danicalifornia
Really Beautiful Caroline!!!! The colours are warm and inviting and the shape makes me want to take a bite! This is Phat!!!
Danicalifornia - thanks - I've got a bit addicted to digital - its just so much easier to try something and then get rid of it if it was the wrong effect... but I do like using real paints too.
Valgalart - thank you - now that I've seen the unknown's version of your house eating those agents I'm a bit worried that you might somehow manage to do that!
Yum!!!!!
Great pear!
oh for the love of pears! they are the best... this is so pretty and warm. i too want to take a bite!
Caro, you're getting to be a Painter master! Looks lovely!
I can see a pear of eyes!
I always love your colors and attention to detail. Soft.... yum....pears:)
pretty pretty!
Liz Jones and Susan - thank you! My poor pear is going to get very thin if everyone keeps on nibbling her ;-)
Cream - I am quite comfortable using Painter these days - but I'm having to push myself to experiment with new things in it - its now too easy to just use what I already know... I can see another face in a different place from the one I'd originally seen...
Ldahl - thank you - I don't think of myself as someone who pays attention to details but you are not the first to mention it so I'd better pay attention this time - thank you!
I see Mickey Mouse... Evil Mickey Mouse...
Viking - as I read that the lights flickered... how did you do that? ;-)
MMM, a big, fat, juicy pear. haven't had one in some time. Nice work!
Yummm ... a pretty fat pear! Fat pear is good for you!!
Lovely, juicy, fat pear. Loving all of your digital art by the way!
a.
Steve - thanks - I hadn't either...
Alina - thank you - one of the few fat things that is!
Andrea - thanks to you too - I do like working digitally!
Your pear has a deity-like quality to it that causes it to rise above and beyond the realm of mere earth motherdom. I'm on my knees!
Andrea - is it that aura that I gave it?
Or the dazzling light?
You and Andrea are the pair of pears! If I had to say something about your pear in one word it would be – heavenly!
Caroline it is a fine pear. A fine pear indeed. there is definately an aura about it.
great colors and compliments
this is a fine work, I like the pale colours and the brightness of the whole...i got a little lost in finding you on the newest IF page!
Albina - heavenly pears? Wow and paired with Andrea - wower still!
Toni - Thank you. I was attempting to put in what I saw as well as a little Cezanne inspired blue...
Ayanaku - thanks - the new page wasn't up when I submitted so I didn't get to select my category or put up a thumbnail... I'll have to wait 'til next week for that particular joy!
Wow, you are really good at digital art! Great FAT pear!
no pizza whatever will make me fat! (unfortunately) thanx for your comment...
:)
Gudbrandsdottir - thank you - it was fun!
Aynaku - Sounds like you can have plenty of pizza in that case...
Mmmm... fruit. Looks yummy. Great illo.
love
Lovely pear...the colors make me think of peach, actually...very delicate and very delicious. I do think I see the shadow of a face emerging...perhaps it's the pear god!
Thanks unknown - maybe a little fruit would do you good, love.
Carla - yes I choose a peachy pear - its odd but I've seen several almost faces too... how many sides to the pear are there?
I just love the phrase "explore my inner pear," implying there is also an outer one.
Tony Larocca - there was but I ate it. ;-)
Beautiful! succulent fat golden pear, life is good.
Mmmmm...looks tasty!! Fantastic job and take on fat!
Very nice pear. I did not see the face at first... :)
Hardwax - thank you - fat pears rule!
Txartcgal - thank you - it was the way the day led me...
Merlinprincese - so you spotted one did you? Excellent.

Zinkibaru - thank you! I enjoyed capturing its shapliness.
It's beautiful, so delicate colouring and love the light effect. Such a juicy pear, want to eat!
