And by maintaining focus

The GreenishLady is playing a fun game.

1. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random The first article title is the name of your band.

2. http://www.quotationspage.com/random.php3 The last four words of the very last quote is the title of your album.

3. http://www.flickr.com/explore/interesting/7days/ The third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover. Now take your photo, add the band name and title to it, then post it.

I love the whole idea of this one! Though I did feel the need to get permission from the photographer before using their photo this way.

My band's name is Saint Fidelis, which is pretty lucky compared to what I just got when I hit the link to check it worked - Chelsea F.C. season 2004-05!

And the album is "And by maintaining focus" which comes from Oprah:
Energy is the essence of life. Every day you decide how you're going to use it by knowing what you want and what it takes to reach that goal, and by maintaining focus.
Oprah Winfrey (1954 - ), O Magazine, July 2003
What a great quote! And yes I can do with the reminder to stay focused - I've been a bit scatty recently - I've had milk boil over, burnt myself, written absolute rubbish in my journal and only later discovered I'd missed out whole words or phrases...

Someone has gone to town with this idea and made loads of pretend albums. If you do this (or have done it) please leave me a comment here so I can see yours.

Update: There are lots on flickr with the tag "cd cover meme"

What a great game Caroline, although the name of my band is The Police....I think there may be a small problem with that one, although I've got a great album title...'Life Does Greatly Please' (don't tell Sting), and I got a beautiful picture of an owl for my album cover! Co incidence?

Jo - that sounds fabulous and funny!

Wouldn't it be great if a 'real' band chose they're name and album cover and album title in this way!

I think its given Jim ideas - though we just got Roxy Music as the band name... I wonder if there is anyway to filter out actual bands!

Hey, Caroline! Long time since I checked in! This is great! I would have checked with the photographer for mine, but lost the link before I realised I wouldn't be able to get back. Must catch up properly soon, but for now, flying visit!

Hi Imelda - good to see you - I seem to have an overdeveloped conscious when it comes to copyright - its this that makes it so hard for me to do SoulCollage the standard way...

I find it interesting especially where the person made loads of covers, how there can be a mental link syncronising all three! Funny how the mind can translate a relation from images and words to create something new :)

Anonymous - yes it is interesting - but when I thought I'd like to do more I just got rotten combinations.... a hint perhaps to maintain focus on what I'd already got!

I just shared my band and album with Greenish Lady when I clicked over to her link, and then remembered I hadn't shared it with you yet - my band is 'Karakalpak Language,' the album is 'A Whole Lot Better,' and the cover is a photo of sunlit cabinet doors, entitled 'A Place In the Sun.'

Thanks for more fun~xo

Tink - Karakalpak and your 'mwhatsit 'mwhojum seem to be signaling something about foreign languages - does it mean anything to you or am I getting overexcited by a coincidence? :-)
