This is a feather I saw this morning when I went down to the shops.
Later in the day we discovered that Jim had won £1100 on the premium bonds! He's putting it down to Teasel being a lucky puppy... I think its the surge of love he's feeling for her! This evening she's been with us a full week.
I then went down to the shops again in the afternoon - I felt quite compelled to go.
Outside the front door was this:
If you wanted to interpret a message that came this way - first as a white wet feather on a black mini that reflects the sky and then as a bright pink dry feather amongst leaf litter - what would you think?
Another "reason" for feeling compelled to go out might have been what was awaiting me in the charity shops:

I'd feel compelled to go to the shops, too, if I had an extra 1100 pounds in the bank! :)
ReplyDeleteHello Caro !
ReplyDeleteVery nice shots...
SEe You later.
The white feather is writery, and the pink one looks like it fell off a feather boa, that strange snake that only comes out at night. So I guess it's finish writing and party!
ReplyDeleteBirds are everywhere around you, they are powerful symbols and totems. Feathers touch my heart. That punky pink one rocks!
ReplyDeleteAndrea - the £1100 isn't going into the bank account - its being re-invested - so not much incentive to spend it - we did however have a bottle of bubbly to celebrate :-)
ReplyDeleteWebradio - thank you.
Dru - you are quite right!
Sacred Suzie - and so are you too! I've just found a lovely floaty white one in the house today too....
what a win! congrats..i think both the feathers are happy signs that things are changing for the good for you all!
ReplyDeleteI always think of white feathers as angelic blessings (we've been encountering so many since my mother's passing). Pink? Luck and fun, I guess. I just love the photos. They're great.
ReplyDeleteAND... Teasel is just so gorgeous. You are lucky indeed!
SB - I do hope so - thank you for that thought!
ReplyDeleteGreenishLady - lots of people do seem to get feathers after someone's passing... I like that thought a lot!
And thank you!
The white feather appears to be floating in a heavenly sky - a light spirit? Or a spirit that soars?
ReplyDeleteAnd the pink feather is resting gently - yet vividly - on the earth - joyfully grounded? A happy heart?
Those are my best guesses - and lucky you! Hurray not only on the big win - but on these too - I love finding messages...
OK... I'm late again.... Maybe it's just a nice gift from the Universe.... I always see feathers as that. I keep the one I find. And YES I wash them.... in case the bird would have fleas...hehhehehe.... :P
