After getting
nowhere fast this morning I happened on
Imelda's posting about a woman who has been told she's only a year left to live. Imelda asks: If this past year had been your last year on earth, what in it would have left you glad at the end?
One thing - learning to smile even when in pain and finding that a true smile (not a grin and bear it grimace) really does ease the pain. Especially the half-smile of the Buddha.
Very courageous to want to live one's ultimate moments with a smile, even half a smile...
ReplyDeleteWishing you many smiles, Caroline - hopefully as painfree as possible! xox
ReplyDeleteYou are truely a Guru!
ReplyDeleteI think I would be grateful that I've said 'yes' to help offered.
Joy Eliz - ha ha... its not me that's the guru...
ReplyDeleteAnd Tinker - sorry I thought I'd already replied to your comment - thank you - the pain has been a great lesson... lessening it has been a great challenge... :-)
ReplyDeleteAnd Krimo - what is happening here? I thought I'd answered you too...
ReplyDeleteIts not courage - just being pushed to limit and finding that's what has to happen... hard to explain any further...
Hello Caroline :) I completely agree with "being pushed to limit and finding that's what has to happen"!
ReplyDeletePoor bird is going to need a chiropractor...
ReplyDeleteFamily...cousins, aunties, siblings, uncles, nieces, nephews.
ReplyDeleteWe all made my dying auntie happy to the end. I hope.
Last year, when my cousin was going through a dreadful divorce, we were all there for her.
oh what a great photo!! That bird is amazing. I have just found creative therapy thru your links - and taken a peek on wings for you...I am going to try and give it a go!
ReplyDeleteThe magpie made me smile... Thanks :)
ReplyDeleteAnonymous - strange that we are so obstinate as to need pushing so far!
ReplyDeleteTony - Well I know a good one...
GG - you are lucky to have such supportive family. My family seems to have become very scattered and not so supportive...
Krisse - its fun isn't it - that's why I borrowed it. I've finally got it together now...
MP - glad you liked it!
