This is last week's Inspire me Thursday challenge - this week's wasn't available this morning when I had a time to play. I played around with red, black and white ink without any particular image in mind.

  3. This piece has a lot of depth Caroline. Very organic.
Misty and Melanie are at Artfest taking classes so not sure when they will get to IMT.

  5. This is a really cool image...kind of wild and hypnotic! Do I see a little monster in there...some beady red eyes...am I being sucked into the vortex of madness.....?

  8. I really like this and don't see the monsters or blood or war. It looks very textural and 3D and like many things connected.

I also saw a lot of monsters in your Illo Friday picture. I like the colours there too.

  10. Melba - thanks - yes the Mandala was done in Spring (2002) so that could well be what it was about - I've never really worked it out and have lived with it since then! Bat is a neat idea for the monsters blob and I can see all too easily how this could be war!

Zinkibaru - glad that its not just about monsters, blood or war - I liked making the textures in it!

Andrea - thank you - it was the first time I managed one I felt like posting... not the first I'd tried ;-) I'd fogotten about a couple of other attempts for other themes...
