Phoenix Christmas Card
The Christmas Cactus from yesterday reminded me that I keep on meaning to design this year's card. This is my first attempt - I found out how to make letters bend around in Painter!
Hi Janey - I usually send out a card that is either directly handmade or at least printed to my design... but I often leave it so late that its a real pain! Your postcards will go down well!
Hi Cream - whats "Haway"? I'll do a little posting on bending them -- just for you! And the Phoenix came about because I started off doing a Christmas candle, but it hatched into a bird - I can't control these things!
This is good enough for beyond Christmas...a new year...new beginnings...best wishes for a change in career / life...happy birthday old thing, and so on.
Thank you all. The posting on bendy letters will have to wait until next week sometime... I doubt I'll get the chance to post much whilst I've visitors...
This is so pretty and so positive! I love the idea of the phoenix and the months surrounding it....it really creates a meaningful message as well as a great composition! I'm doing my holidays cards with the bird illustration I used for the IF "cold." I'm actually going to get this done somewhat on time this year as well...just need to get the layout with the text done today and then bring it to the printer tomorrow. Fun:>
This is digital? Neat. I think I'll do postcards this year. It will be first time I've ever sent out handmade cards.

I think the Phoenix truely represents the energy of rebirth surrounding the closing of one year and the beginning of another- its a beautiful design.
